# How to connect Re:Vault to Claude or ChatGPT

> Get a code by email on re-vault.io/mcp, then connect in two minutes: the Connect button in the Claude app, Claude in the browser or ChatGPT, or one line in Claude Code, Cursor and Codex. What Claude does next, what the credits cover, when the first charge happens.

## 1. Claude app, Claude in the browser, ChatGPT

### Add a connector

Claude: Settings, Connectors, Add custom connector. ChatGPT: Settings, Connectors, Create. Address: `https://mcp.re-vault.io/mcp`. Leave the client id and secret empty.

### Press Connect and enter your code

A Re:Vault page opens with one field. Type the code from your email, it looks like `RV-7K3M-9QX2`. Case and dashes do not matter. The app comes back connected.

### Send the first message

“Start my Re:Vault onboarding: call onboard_next with an empty answer and follow exactly what it returns.” The app keeps its own sign-in for 30 days and asks for the code again after that.

## 2. Claude Code, Cursor, Codex

Paste the line from the email into your terminal. Keep the key out of shared prompts, screenshots and repositories.

### People and texts

Real people at matching companies, with the source of every fact, and a first message for each. Change any text: name the number and the new wording.

### Channel and connection

LinkedIn connects through a one-time link in the chat, your own profile. Email goes out from a pre-warmed domain we provide; your domain stays out of it.

### Card, then the first sends

Before the first send Claude asks for a card and your email on a Stripe page. Nothing is charged then. Invitations go out from your profile at a safe daily pace.

Your LinkedIn profile is connected as protected: ten invitations and twenty messages a day, working hours of the person you write to, one person per company, your exclusions respected.

## When the window closes

The first $199 goes through when the three days end, or earlier if the credits run out first. No card, no charge: the key simply stops and Dmitry writes to you. Month to month after that, one message cancels it.

## If something does not connect

### The Connect page says the code did not match

Type it as in the email, letters and digits only; case does not matter. Five wrong tries pause the page for a minute. A new code arrives with a new request on [re-vault.io/mcp](https://re-vault.io/mcp/); the old key stops.

### The model returns 401

Check that the full key follows “Bearer” with one space. If it still fails, ask for a new code on [re-vault.io/mcp](https://re-vault.io/mcp/).

### The LinkedIn link says it was used

Ask in the chat for a new one: “call linkedin_connect again”. It works once and lives three days.

### LinkedIn tools say no account is connected

Finish the login in the link window, wait up to five minutes, then call onboard_next again.
